Fifth Annual GLOBE Conference
17 - 21 July, 2000

As GLOBE is implemented and expanded in nations around the world, teachers, students, and others involved in science and education will be interested and find value in reports, abstracts, and statements by leaders from GLOBE countries, GLOBE science and education teams, GLOBE U.S. Partners, and by special guests. Issues include use of student data in research, advances in training, follow-up support for GLOBE-trained teachers, a variety of approaches to recruiting schools, and much more. Special Guests: David Sandalow, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs; J. Charles Fox, Assistant Administrator for Water, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; Dr. Mary Cleave, NASA Deputy Associate Administrator for Earth Science.
