Native Americans Programs
Native
Americans Programs provide funding to American Indians, Alaska
Natives, Native Hawaiians and other Native American Pacific
Islanders
including Native Samoans. These programs provide a broad range
of
economic development, social development and governance projects,
as well as environmental regulatory enhancement projects and
language preservation planning and implementation projects.
Grants must support locally determined and designated projects
that address community needs and goals.
These are competitive (discretionary) grants. Entities eligible
to apply include Federally recognized Tribes, non-Federally
recognized Tribes, Staterecognized Tribes, Alaskan Native Villages,
Tribal consortia, urban/offreservation Indian organizations
and Native American non-profit organizations.
