February 23, 1999: Proposed Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project; Department of the Navy, U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC

Provides notification that the Department of Defense has submitted a proposed demonstration project entitled "Naval Research Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project" for consideration under Chapter 47 of 5 U.S.C. The purpose of this project is to demonstrate a flexible and responsive personnel system that will enhance the Laboratory's ability to attract, retain, and motivate a high-quality workforce. February 19, 1999: Submission for OMB Review: Comment Request for Reclearance of Expiring Information Collections

The Office of Personnel Management published two notices regarding submission to the Office of Management and Budget of requests for clearance of information collections under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, as follows:

  • SF 2817, Life Insurance Election, is used by employees to enroll in or change their enrollment in the Federal Employee's Group Life Insurance Program.  [Federal Register Notice: PDF or text]
  • RI 34-1, Financial Resources Questionnaire, collects detailed financial information for use by OPM in determining whether to agree to a waiver, compromise, or adjustment of the collection of erroneous payments from the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund. RI 34-3, Notice of Amount Due Because of Annuity Overpayment, informs the annuitant that payment is due, describes the cause for the overpayment, and collects information from the annuitant about repayment amounts.  [Federal Register Notice: PDF or text]
