Tips for Wireless Home use:
- Create a profile for home use that is different than that of the NIH profile
- Don’t use the NIH SSID on the Home profile.
- Don’t configure to broadcast the SSID on your Home access point.
- Don’t use the NIH encryption WEP key for your Home wireless network.
- Use at least 40-bit encryption for your Home WEP key. It is recommended that you use 128-bit encryption if your Home wireless devices support it.
- Configure to use the Shared Authentication if possible instead of using Open Authentication.
