Arrest Warrant Issued for Saturday’s Bank Robber

            Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent in Charge Manuel E. Mora announced today that an arrest warrant had been obtained in the city’s first bank robbery of the year. GLEN ALAN SWANSON, of Puyallup, Washington, is wanted on one charge of bank robbery for the January 27, 2007, robbery of the Chase Bank branch at 135 Shadow Mountain, El Paso, Texas.

            Swanson is described as a white male, with blonde hair and blue eyes, a goatee, 6’2” tall, weighing 220 lbs. Swanson has lived in Central El Paso since September 2006. Swanson was seen in a 1997 maroon Toyota Previa with tinted windows and two red, white and blue bumper stickers. The van had temporary license plates and a 4-inch wide scratch running the entire length of the van’s right side.

            This investigation is being worked jointly by the FBI and the El Paso Police Department as part of an ad hoc Violent Crimes Task Force.
