Bank Robber Arrested in Mexico
GLEN ALAN SWANSON was arrested Sunday, February 11, 2007, for El Paso’s first bank robbery of 2007, according to FBI Special Agent in Charge Manuel E. Mora.
Swanson, of Puyallup, Washington, was located in Juarez, Mexico, on Sunday. He was detained by the Agencia Estatal de Investigacion (AEI) and turned over to Mexican immigration officials. He was released Sunday night to the FBI with the assistance of Customs and Border Protection and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
Swanson was arrested on one charge of federal bank robbery for the January 27, 2007, robbery of the Chase Bank branch at 135 Shadow Mountain, El Paso, Texas. This investigation was worked jointly by the FBI and the El Paso Police Department.
