COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Community Outreach Program

The El Paso Division personnel are available to deliver speeches in a variety of areas concerning FBI jurisdiction, crime prevention, and specific areas involving FBI programs.  Contact Victor Serna, Community Outreach Specialist, at 915.832.5000 for more information on how to request speakers.

Community outreach also includes the following programs:

Adopt-A-School Program

The Adopt-A-School program, also known as the Jr. Special Agent Program, was developed to help students improve academically and to help them develop into good citizens. FBI volunteers act as mentors to at-risk students while stressing getting a good education, living healthy and drug free, and abstaining from violent and/or criminal behavior. The El Paso Division adopts a sixth grade class and meets with them on a weekly basis to discuss topics that relate to the FBI and real life issues. Set curriculum and lesson plans are presented to the students. Throughout the year, employees also give presentations to the class in their related fields. The school year concludes with a field trip to the El Paso FBI office and a graduation ceremony.
