Medical Students : NIDDK

Medical Students

  • NIDDK funds summer research experiences (i.e. 2-3 months) for medical, or other health professional, students usually between the 1st and 2nd year of medical school. You should contact directly the person listed at the location where you wish to do your research.
  • If you are a medical student who wishes to take a year off to pursue research training, NIDDK supports such year-off research experiences via supplemental slots to training grants.
  • If you are enrolled in a combined MD-PhD program and will be pursuing your PhD dissertation research in an area of research supported by NIDDK, consider applying for anĀ F30 award.
