Dr. Peggy LeMone, GLOBE Chief Scientist
Dr. LeMone oversees the scientific integrity of GLOBE, helping with science content in preparation of materials, ensuring that materials are properly reviewed for scientific content; and serving as the chief GLOBE spokesperson to the scientific community. She oversees the GLOBE Chief Scientist’s Honor Roll, and engages in general science communication of GLOBE to community partners, trainers, teachers and students. She is Senior Science Advisor to the GLOBE management. Dr. LeMone has been a practicing scientist for over 30 years; her research interests involve the atmospheric boundary layer, its interaction with the underlying surface and overlying convective clouds, and the structure of rainbands and their influence the environment.
