IBIDS Database Expands Coverage

The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements recently expanded the content coverage of the International Bibliographic Information for Dietary Supplements (IBIDS) database to include records from CAB Abstracts and CAB Global Health. The addition of these bibliographic record resources, through a cooperative agreement with CABI Publishing through the National Agricultural Library, strengthens IBIDS coverage of articles pertaining to dietary supplements in the area of applied life sciences.

IBIDS also includes bibliographic information on the topic of dietary supplements with a biomedical-related focus from MEDLINE; article records with a botanical and agricultural science slant from AGRICOLA; and those containing a worldwide agricultural literature perspective through AGRIS.

Recent IBIDS updates added more than 3,000 bibliographic records from CAB to the database, bringing the total number of article records in the database to 762,543. The IBIDS database is accessible free of charge from the ODS website at http://ods.od.nih.gov/Health_Information/IBIDS.aspx.
