Five national home visiting organizations —Healthy Families America, Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters, Nurse-Family Partnership, Parents as Teachers National Center and The Parent-Child Home Program—share their joint vision for home visiting programs.

New study confirms it:
Parents as Teachers does improve school readiness

Research just released in the Journal of Primary Prevention adds to the evidence that Parents as Teachers improves parenting practices in ways that lead to both school readiness and academic achievement.

The research was conducted by Drs. Edward Zigler and Victoria Seitz of Yale University with Judy Pfannenstiel of Research & Training Associates. [more]
