December 2008

Early Library Closings in December and January
The NIH Library usually closes at 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the weeks of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. This year due to construction of a new, improved front entrance, the Library will close at 6:00 p.m. for an additional three weeks. The majority of the construction will take place after the Library closes.

New Training Room Opens: First Floor of the NIH Library
On December 3, NIH Library staff members held classes in a new space on the first floor of the Library. The new Training Room replaces the facility on the lower level and provides a better learning environment and improved technology. NIH Library classes in the use of research tools such as EndNote®, PubMed®, Scopus™, Web of Science®, and web search engines are held in the NIH Library Training Room. See NIH Library Classes: December 2008 for the current schedule.
