News Conference in N.Y. on Head Start


The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) will be joined by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to announce bringing reproductions of 40 pieces of great American art to all 20,000 Head Start centers throughout the nation.

Picturing America SM is a set of 40 works of significant American art chosen by NEH as a way to help all Americans understand the history of our country and its diverse people and places. In Head Start classrooms, the art will be used as an educational tool to help meet child development goals. Special guests during the news conference will include a classroom of Head Start children.
