NASA to Update Media on Progress of Exploration Work
 
 
WASHINGTON - On Monday, Dec. 10, NASA briefs reporters on the efforts to return humans to the moon by 2020. The roundtable discussion will focus on the significant progress made during 2007. It also will look ahead to a fast-paced year of events in 2008, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter/Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite mission and the Constellation Program's first Orion pad abort test.

The roundtable will begin at 2 p.m. EST at NASA Headquarters, 300 E St., S.W., Washington. A telephone bridge will be available to reporters unable to attend the event. Reporters should contact Melissa Mathews at 202-358-1272 for dial-in information.

Participants will be: - Rick Gilbrech, associate administrator for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate - Carl Walz, director of advanced capabilities for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate - Jeff Hanley, Constellation Program manager
