Found a health center?

Find a Health Center - GO!Found a health center?

From the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, I’m Ira Dreyfuss with HHS HealthBeat.

Federally funded health centers offer care even if you have no insurance. You pay based on what you can afford. And you can get the kinds of things you might get in a doctor’s office or a dentist’s office, such as checkups, childhood immunizations, some medical treatments and prescription drugs.

The health centers are located in areas where there might not be much health care otherwise. They are community-based and patient-driven organizations.

HHS’ Health Resources and Services Administration funds over 7,000 health center sites. And it has a simple way to help you find one. HRSA Administrator Dr. Elizabeth Duke:

"You can go online and put in your home address, and ask for the health center closest to you." (8 seconds)

You can get addresses, phone numbers, driving directions and maps.
