In 1990 there were an estimated 18 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 12 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 2 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 1995 there will be an estimated 18 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 14 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 2 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2000 there will be an estimated 18 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 15 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 2 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2005 there will be an estimated 19 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 16 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 2 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2010 there will be an estimated 21.5 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 17 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 2.1 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2015 there will be an estimated 25 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 18 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 2.2 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2020 there will be an estimated 30 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 20 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 3 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2025 there will be an estimated 35 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 23 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 3 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2030 there will be an estimated 36 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 25 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 5 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2035 there will be an estimated 37 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 27 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 6.5 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and a small number in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2040 there will be an estimated 33 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 30 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 12 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and 1 million in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2045 there will be an estimated 32 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 31 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 16 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and 1 million in the 100 years and older age group.

In 2050 there will be an estimated 33 million in the 65- to 74-year-old age group, 30 million in the 75- to 84-year-old age group, 18 million in the 85- to 99-year-old age group, and 2.5 million in the 100 years and older age group.
