MY ACCOUNTS

View Your Account

When you view your account online, you'll see:

  • The name and address on the account
  • A description of all bonds that belong to that account
  • Interest payments made on the bonds for that account

For privacy reasons, you see only one account at a time.

How to View Multiple Accounts

Accounts are set up based on the name or names and address on your bonds. We refer to this as the "inscription." Each account is assigned a 13-digit account number.

There may be separate accounts based on who will receive the interest payments.

If you own bonds in your name alone:

Example - John Doe

The bonds are assigned to one account.

If you own bonds in your name with beneficiaries:

Example - John Doe POD (Payable on Death) Jane Doe, John Doe POD Mary Doe

As the owner (John Doe) on all the bonds, you are the only one entitled to the interest payments during your lifetime. Therefore, the bonds combined with the bonds in your name alone are assigned to the same account.

If you own bonds in your name with co-owners:

Example - John Doe OR Jane Doe, John Doe OR Mary Doe

The co-owners are equally entitled to the interest payments on the bonds on which they are named. Therefore, a separate account is set up for each bond with a different co-owner.

You may also have separate accounts if your direct deposit or address information differs. A separate account is set up for each different direct deposit account or address.

Viewing All Bonds and Accounts

If you have more than one account, follow these steps to view information on all of your bonds:

  • Make a list of your HH/H bond serial numbers.
  • With the list in hand, enter one of your bond serial numbers. You'll see the account that has that bond.
  • Select "Current Holdings" from the Account Information screen. You'll see all the uncashed bonds for that account.
  • Compare the bond serial numbers with the numbers on your list.
  • If a bond is not listed, select "View Another Account" from the Account Information screen. Enter one of the bond serial numbers that was not listed on the previous account.
  • Continue until you've entered the information for all of your bonds.

You see only bonds you have not cashed. You can use a cashed bond serial number to access the system; however, no account will be shown when there are no uncashed bonds on that account.

If there are differences between the bonds displayed and the ones on your list, contact us for help.
