The Osprey-440 is a 64-bit, four-channel, multi-port audio and video capture card. This PCI-X card can process four channels of full-motion (30 fps) video and audio, from four NTSC or PAL analog sources. The Osprey-440 features Logo/Bitmap overlay/watermark capability, audio gain control, and programmable audio sampling rates. Based on the reliability of ViewCast's Osprey® Video capture card, the Osprey-440 provides multi-source capture through four composite (BNC) connectors on the faceplate plus additional A/V inputs via internal pins on the circuit board for system integrators.
Who uses the Osprey-440 capture card?
The Osprey-440 is a PCI-X card designed to simultaneously capture 4 channels of analog video and stereo audio signals. The Osprey-440 is intended primarily for applications where multiple channels of video need to be captured and processed independently. The Osprey-440 is designed to minimize internal PC space requirements by implementing multiple channels per card, and allowing multiple cards in a single system. The channel density enabled by the Osprey 440 allows fewer computer systems to be used for capture of a given number of channels, dramatically reducing total system cost.
Why is the Osprey-440 a good choice?
the Osprey-440 include four standard alarm inputs, four alarm outputs and support for them within the Osprey AVStream driver. The Osprey-440 includes 12 additional internal auxiliary audio and video inputs that can be switched in as alternatives to the rear panel connectors, three per channel. These additional inputs and alarm connectors are intended for developers who may wish to source audio and video from within their own enclosure or from other auxiliary sources under their control. Familiar features of other Osprey multimedia-class cards have been retained, including options for SimulStream, cropping, watermarking, and audio capture. Multiple cards may be used in a single system chassis.
