Genetic Analysis of the Chiari I Malformation
|
Families with three or more members diagnosed with Arnold-Chiari malformation (Type I) are needed for a study to better understand the genetic factors related to the Chiari I malformation. The study involves 2 outpatient visits over two days and includes a medical exam, MRI of the cervical spine, and a blood test for DNA studies. This screening study involves no treatment. Travel and lodging compensation are provided for all participating family members.
