Job Description
The Social Work position at the NIH facilitates the research objectives of the NIH by providing a wide range of diagnostic treatment, consultation and educational services to patients, their families and to staff. Social Workers deal with the devastating problems of patients with debilitating and, at times, terminal illnesses, who may be struggling with the uncertainties of research outcomes. In this role, the staff member must have exceptional communication skills that will allow for effective collaboration with all customer groups.
