Bioinformatics Analysis of Microarray Data

Closing Date: None

Position Type:

Postdoctoral Fellow

Details:
The NIDDK Microarray Core Laboratory is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow to perform analysis of transcription regulation and modeling of gene regulatory networks from microarray data. By combining genome-level gene expression profiling by DNA microarrays with Chromatin IP technology, new target transcription factors and potential regulatory relationships can be discovered. We are a multidisciplinary team of researchers, and collaborate with different groups within the NIDDK. The successful candidate will be required to work on: experimental and algorithmic strategies for pathway and regulatory networks, and identification of novel transcription binding sites in models relevant to Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The minimum requirement for this position is a Doctorate degree in computational biology, molecular biology, computer science, bioinformatics, genetics, biophysics or related field. This is a two-year term appointment with the possibility of renewal. Salary will be commensurate to programming ability, and previous experience in (microarray) gene expression analysis, or in bioinformatic algorithm development.
