Desereé attends Nebraska Wesleyan University where she is on the President’s Committee on Cultural Diversity. Her passion for rural development has been illustrated through tsunami reconstruction in Sri Lanka, assistance to the Ngobe of Panama, care for AIDS patients in Swaziland, and advocacy for Tibetan refugees in India. Her foreign policy interest expanded as Senator Hagel’s intern in Washington, D.C. She works for the Nebraska Republican Party and the National Student Leadership Conference.
