Production of safe aquaculture products is our goal in caring for fish and invertebrates. To reach that goal, we offer 2 approaches to stress and disease control. First to reduce stress by emphasis on disease prevention, particularly through promotion of a healthy aquatic microbial systems. Second to properly employ antimicrobial reagents as a necessary tool to manage infectious diseases in aquaculture.

Microbial augmentation sources and application strategies -
We offer bacteria and patented delivery systems for nitrification, denitrification, BOD reduction in aquatic systems.



Hydros has developed several patented technologies that provide large quantities of actively growing bacteria that are stable for prolonged periods of time. These systems enhance nitrification and denitrification in aquatic waters both fresh and salt. Currently the products are sold as custom OEM and are combinations of bacteria, enzymes, micronutrients, macronutrients or deodorizers if required.

Each product contains different combinations of some or all of these materials. Suites of bacteria are blended for their different specificities and for different materials. Other ingredients are added based on the specific task they are designed to perform, i.e., faster degradation or more odor control. Bacterial nutrients are added when needed, but reduced or omitted when bacteria will be introduced into a nutrient rich environment.

This and a companion device Subsurface Plug Flow Injector produce large quantities of required bacterial species that are needed consistently, constantly and at levels many times greater than just dumping the bacteria in. The unit in the picture filters and injects with high levels of bacteria up to 190,000 gallons per day.

HydroStat-9
A fish safe and effective large volume medication for parasitic and protozoan infections. Best used in a dip or mixed with food. Safe for Koi, baitfish and all ornamental non food fish. Treats diseases such as protozoan infestations, Ich, Hydra, Trichodina, Hexamita, fungus, monogenic flukes and some parasitic copepods. Economical and human friendly solution that breaks down naturally in sun light. Contains no human use antibiotics, malachite green, formalin or copper.
