H.R. 2122—Project Bioshield Act of 2003

On July 16, 2003, the House passed H.R. 2122, the Project Bioshield Act of 2003, by a vote of 412 to 2. H.R. 2122, which was introduced on May 15 by Representative W. J. (Billy) Tauzin (R-LA), would provide the Secretary of HHS with authorities for expedited procurement and peer review related to biomedical countermeasures research, and for securing the personal services of experts or consultants with relevant expertise.
