Office of Communications
Internships & Fellowships
SLAC offers internship and fellowship opportunities that connect the worlds of research and education, linking academic learning to the world beyond the classroom.

Katherine E. Pope Summer Fellowship
Each year SLAC awards one fellowship to encourage an undergraduate with an interest in science, especially physics, to pursue their academic interest at SLAC.

Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI)
Students majoring in science or engineering are encouraged to apply for an eight week, paid internship to conduct research at SLAC.

SLAC Summer Work Opportunities
SLAC provides opportunities for student employment during the summer months. There are two different programs: Summer Student Program and Youth Opportunity Program.

Science Writing Internship
The SLAC Office of Communications employs science writing interns year-round. Interns work on equal footing with the Communications staff, writing for SLAC Today and symmetry magazine.

Wolfgang Panofsky Fellowship
Panofsky Fellowships provide exceptional and promising young researchers with the chance to conduct their research at SLAC over a five-year term.
