Typical Sagebrush Community

This typical sagebrush community is an illustration of the soil biological communities that occur on rangeland throughout the West. Sagebrush communities are the most widespread of vegetation communities on public rangelands. Note the patchy distribution of vegetation that is so typical of arid and semi-arid rangelands.
