Everyone is creative! Whether this creativity results in a new invention or a piece of art, the process is the same. On this site, inventors at the Museum of Science tell stories about their creative endeavors. After watching these stories, you'll realize that inventors of very diverse things use similar tools.

These tools include:

  • combining
  • repurposing
  • challenging assumptions
  • making analogies
  • exhaustive search
  • breaking down the problem
  • paying attention
  • body thinking
  • abstracting/generalizing

Think about ways you have used these "Inventors' Tools". In the future, you will be able to upload stories of your inventions, submit your own idea for an inventor's tool, and discuss creativity with other participants. Your contributions to this site will help us build a new exhibit at the Museum!
