Description and Formulation of Propiconazole
Prioiconazole formula 100 SL is a water-based wood preservative that prevents decay from fungi in above-ground applications. It is not intended to protect wood that is in contact with the ground. Where there is the potential for insect attack, a registered insecticide should also be used.
Propiconazole 100 SL contains 9.7% by weight of the decay preventing fungicide propiconazole. Propiconazole 100 SL is clear to reddish brown liquid with a slight oily odor.
Applications of Propiconazole 100 SL
Propiconazole has been approved by EPA for preserving wood used in millwork, shingles and shakes, siding, plywood, structural lumber and timbers and composites that are used in above ground applications only. Propiconazole is not for use on wood that will come in contact with food. Propiconazole 100SL is for industrial and commercial use only and for application by surface treatment (dip, brush, spray) or by pressure impregnation.
