Description and Formulations of Cyproconazole
Cyproconazole formula 360 SL is a water-based wood preservative that prevents decay from fungi in above-ground applications. It is not intended to protect wood that is in contact with the ground. Where there is the potential for insect attack, a registered insecticide should also be used.
Cyproconazole 360 SL contains two decay preventing fungicides, cyproconazole and didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC). Cyproconazole comprises 6.08% of the product by weight and DDAC is 31.6% by weight. Cyproconazole 360 SL is a clear to slightly yellow liquid and has no odor.
Applications of Cyproconazole 360 SL
Cyproconazole has been approved by EPA for preserving wood used in millwork, shingles and shakes, siding, plywood, structural lumber and timbers and composites that are used in above ground applications only. Cyproconazole is not for use on wood that will come in contact with food. Cyproconazole 360 SL is for industrial and commercial use only and for application by surface treatment (dip, brush, spray) or by pressure impregnation.
