RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing Web content, such as news. Using an RSS reader, you can view data feeds from various news sources, such as ESPN, Fox and CNN including headlines, summaries, links to full stories.

RSS is accessed through the use of News Aggregators (also called Readers) which download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download. Some aggregators are separate, "stand-alone" programs while other services will let you add RSS feeds to a web site.
To view one of the IGNN feeds in your RSS Aggregator:
- Copy the URL/shortcut that corresponds to the topic that interests you.
- Paste the URL into your reader.
Weblogs:
Another way of using RSS feeds is by incorporating content into weblogs, or "blogs". Blogs are web pages comprised of frequently updated items and web links. |
