Vegetation is a fundamental part of the landscape. The BLM lands in Oregon and Washington host a great diversity of plant communities with plant species ranging from large coniferous trees to tiny mosses.

The BLM Botany Program is dedicated to managing the plants and habitats on public lands. We encourage you to learn more about us and what we do and the fascinating plants that grow on the Oregon/Washington BLM public lands.
