Download Aperture 2 and Get a Trial Serial Number

The Aperture 2 trial provides a fully functional version of Aperture 2 that you can use and experiment with. While it includes all the features available in a licensed copy, the trial version will expire 30 days after you launch it for the first time.1

Ready to get started? Before requesting a trial serial number and downloading the trial software2 — available in English, French, German, or Japanese — you first need to read and agree to the participation terms. Once you fill out the form below and agree to the terms, we’ll send you the serial number needed to activate Aperture for the length of the trial.3

  1. Please note that the 30-day Aperture 2 trial software does not include sample images. You can acquire them at the time you place your order by selecting the “retail box” option.
  2. To use the Aperture 2 trial, you’ll need an Intel-based Mac or one of the qualified PowerPC systems listed on the Aperture Technical Specifications page. You should also download and run the Aperture Compatibility Checker to verify that your system supports Aperture 2. After downloading the software, you’ll need to acknowledge and accept the End User License Agreement.
  3. Should you purchase Aperture 2 during or at the conclusion of the 30-day trial, you’ll receive a second serial number for your personal copy of Aperture 2.
  4. Aperture updates available via Software Update or the Aperture Download page can be used only to update purchased versions of Aperture and cannot be used to update Aperture trial software.
