  1. How do I access DOI LEARN?
    Launch Internet Explorer and type https://DOILearn.doi.gov in the address bar then type in your user id. and password.
  2. Do I have to make any adjustments on my computer?
    For best results, adjust your monitor resolution to 1024 x 768. Adjust your browser settings to enable cookies and scripting. Clear your browser cache regularly.
  3. What happens the first time I log in to DOI LEARN?
    The first time you log in, you will be required to change your user name and password; supply your e-mail address; select your Supervisor's name from a drop-down list. Click I accept at the bottom of the "Rules of Behavior" screen.
  4. How do I view all the courses available?
    Click on the Catalog link in the Quick-menu bar at the top right of your screen. Use the basic or advanced search to search by keyword. Click browse catalog to search by course category.
  5. How do I register for a class?
    Click on the course name. Scroll through Class Details to locate the desired date. Enter estimated travel, per diem and materials costs. Select Agency, Employee or Combination from drop-down. Click on Preview Schedule. Click on Apply. A request for training approval will be sent to your supervisor.
  6. How do I know I've been enrolled in a class?
    Go to “My Courses” on the menu bar. All courses, both classroom and on-line classes will be listed.
  7. I registered for a class but I don’t see it under “My Courses”. What happened to my request?
    Many classes require your Supervisor Approval. At the time you applied for the class, an email notification was sent to the supervisor you identified in your “My Information”. After your Supervisor approves your request, it will appear in “My Information”. If your request is denied, you will receive and email.
  8. I’m a Supervisor but I am not receiving any email notifications of my employees training registrations. What do I do?
    Go to Administration, then “My Information”. Check to see if you have correctly selected all of the employees for whom you are responsible.
  9. I am a Supervisor, but our office has a Training Officer who should be the Approver of training. What should I do?
    You as the Supervisor will need to give that training officer “permission”. To do that, go to Administration, find his/her profile and check the box for “Approve Training” = Yes and the box for “Receive Supervisor Email” = Yes. Either you or the Training Official must now also identify all the employees for whom he/she will be approving training.
  10. What will happen to my old training information?
    Most of the records for BLM personnel, if in our current training database, were sent to the vendor of the new system to be imported.
  11. Will we be able to add training to this new system that we have taken previously?
    Yes, there is an area to add 'Transcript Extras.'
  12. Will there be other training on how to use the system?
    Training for basic uses of the system will be available through the system. Online tutorials are currently being created and will be available from various Web portals. This site will host links to those tutorials once they are available.
  13. Does the system have a means to approve and track training not offered by DOI bureaus or offices?
    Yes, DOI LEARN will contain a module called the SF-182 module. It will provide for approval and tracking of external courses. This function is expected to be online by Late November.
