Metadata Name
 
Definition

The ISO 19115 <Metadata_Name> field is used to identify the current DIF standard name.  This field is automatically populated when using the GCMD metadata authoring tool.

 
Syntax

<Metadata_Name>CEOS IDN DIF</Metadata_Name> (by default)

  • The <Metadata_Name> field may contain 1 to 80 characters from the UTF-8 character set.
 
Usage
  • The <Metadata_Name> field is required and may not be repeated.
  • This field is automatically populated (with CEOS IDN DIF) when using the GCMD metadata authoring tool.
