IDN Node
 
Definition

The Internal Directory Name (IDN) Node (<IDN_Node>) field is used internally to identify association, responsibility and/or ownership of the dataset, service or supplemental information.  Note: The <IDN_Node> field is usually not displayed to the user.  The author may populate <IDN_Node> from a set of controlled keywords.

 
Syntax

<IDN_Node><Short_Name>IDN Node Keyword</Short_Name></IDN_Node>

 
Usage
  • The <IDN_Node> field is recommended and may be repeated.
  • The <IDN_Node> must be selected from the set of controlled keywords.
 
Example

<IDN_Node><Short_Name>USA/NASA</Short_Name></IDN_Node>
