CONGRESSMAN SALAZAR TO VISIT WESTERN SLOPE VETERANS

{GRAND JUNCTION, CO – On Friday, November 11th and Saturday November 12th, Congressman John Salazar (CO-3) will attend a series of meetings and ceremonies in Fruita, Rifle, and Grand Junction to honor our nation’s veterans in celebration of Veterans’ Day. 

Congressman Salazar will discuss the bipartisan support behind the Stolen Valor Act, legislation he introduced to penalize those who falsely claim military honors. Salazar will also encourage community members to participate in the Library of Congress’ Veterans History Project, a national effort to record the stories of veterans and civilians who served in wartime.
