Congresswoman Bordallo Mourns the Passing of Kenneth Jones, Jr.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 31, 2008 – Washington, D.C.

"Ken Jones was a close personal friend of my late husband, Ricky and me. We spent many hours discussing issues concerning Guam, our region, our families, and our business ventures. He was a successful businessman and an important part of our community. I knew Ken Jones as a sincere and compassionate individual, always ready to contribute his time and resources to many good causes. I enjoyed working with him on many projects for the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, the Guam Boy and Girl Scouts, the Lytico-Bodig Association, and others. Ken Jones was a pioneer in the Pacific business community. He was inducted into the Guam Business Hall of Fame by his colleagues in the Guam Chamber of Commerce. His business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and his unwavering belief in Guam and the Marianas are evident in the successful ventures he founded and which thrive today. But most of all, Ken was my dear, dear friend. I extend my heartfelt condolences and prayers to his wife Elaine, his daughters Vivian, Linda, Veronica, Donna and Ramona, and their extended family. Ken will always be remembered and respected by many and loved by all who knew him."
