The December 13 Living History Event, "Christmas at City Point" Will Now Be A Lecture.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the living history program that was scheduled for Saturday, December 13 has been changed to a lecture.

"Christmas at City Point" will be the focus of two talks on December 13 as a ranger will discuss the different ways people celebrated the holidays. For more information, please call park ranger Ann Blumenschine at (804) 458-9504.

While Mrs. Walker is known as the first African American woman to found and be president of a bank, much of her work was in the early 20th Century Civil Rights Movement with her friends Booker T. Washington, Mary Church Terrell, and Mary McLeod Bethune.
