Resources for Teachers
My greatest benefit is more along the lines of a personal benefit. Personally, this is the first program in my 16 year teaching career that has valued my uniqueness and treated me like a professional. I feel valued.
Tamisine Neal, Education Specialist at North East I.S.D in Positively Aging: Optimizing Mobility Across the Lifespan

“I just wanted to thank you once again for the wonderful Neuroscience for Kids site. Between your site, Google images and Rozenzweig's Bio Psych book, I was able to put together a presentation series entitled Getting to Know Your Nervous System, which I piloted in a local school (K-6th grade) this year."

“I think if I had one thing to say is that the people who wrote this curriculum was well worth the money that it took. I would do it without a stipend because it's hands-on and the kids learn from hands on. They found out results right away and kids liked the activities.”
A teacher in Denver Cardiovascular Health Education Alliance, Phase I

“I continue to develop better methods of presenting the information to my students, basically because I understand it better. New ideas have been developed each year that are great improvements over the past years. I have the chance to learn from the other teachers what ways to make my instruction better.”

The INQUIRE program allows you to research a topic in depth and then develop programs for use in the classroom. The primary advantage of this type of professional development is that you achieve a goal that is helpful to yourself and others and adds to your knowledge base as well.
Jocelyn Eckermn, science teacher at KIPP Aspire Academy in Positively Aging: Optimizing Mobility Across the Lifespan
