The Flamingo Lodge, restaurant, and cafe are currently closed due to the damage caused by strong winds and storm surges from Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma in 2005.  For the latest status information, you may contact the lodge directly at 239-695-3101, or contact the park switchboard at 305-242-7700.

Lodging is available in communities that border the park, including Homestead, Florida City, Miami, Everglades City, and Chokoloskee. Contact the local chamber of commerce or visitor information bureau for a listing of local accommodations.
