The Pesticides and Toxics Program in EPA's Office of Research and Development (ORD) has two main research areas:

Mission

To provide EPA and others with the scientific information needed to reduce or prevent unreasonable risks to humans, wildlife, and non-target plants from exposures to pesticides, toxic chemicals, and products of biotechnology.

Mission

To provide EPA with the scientific information it needs to reduce or prevent unreasonable risks to humans and wildlife from exposures to individual pesticides and toxic chemicals and environmental mixtures of chemicals that interfere with the function of the endocrine system.
