Year | Month | Task | 2005 | October | Invite suggestions from extramural community on important new directions, public health issues, areas to be de-emphasized. | | December | Develop preliminary areas of focus for planning and invite members of an Expert Panel. | 2006 | January | Conference call 1: Define goals of planning effort and expert panel roles; draft topics and questions, information needed by panel and further outreach activities. | | March | Hold discussion groups at meetings of Population Association of America. | | August | Develop draft set of future directions based on prior input from scientific community, discussion groups, Branch analysis. | | October | Conference call 2: Review Branch draft; plan agenda for planning meeting; identify additional information needs. | | December | Hold planning meeting. | 2007 | January | Revise draft of future directions. | | March | Draft full report including DBSB accomplishments and past/future directions on Web for comment and send to members of the National Advisory Child Health and Human Development (NACHHD) Council. | | June | Present to NACHHD Council. | | July-August | Finalize report. |
