Chu Confirmation Progresses

Nobel Physicist for Energy Secretary

Nobel Laureate (1997) and LBNL Head Steven Chu appeared before the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee where he was welcomed by Democrats and Republicans. Committee chairman, Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., concluded the hearing by saying that he would do all that he could to see that Chu's confirmation is assured.

April Sorters Convene

Organizing Abstracts for May 2009

Over 25 sorters met at the American Center for Physics in College Park, Maryland to sort 1,184 abstracts for the 2009 April Meeting, assigning each presentation a time and room. Abstracts submitted now will be assigned as posters, as space allows.
