SUBJECT: Solicitation for Grant Applications - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Opportunities in the Workforce System Initiative, SGA/DFA-PY-07-03
PROGRAM(S): All Programs
1. Purpose. To transmit an amendment to the Solicitation for Grant Applications (SGA) for the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Opportunities in the Workforce System Initiative. This amendment will make changes to the January 15th document by clarifying and correcting the Solicitation.

4. Substance. This amendment includes:
- A clarification of the type of Workforce Investment Board that is an eligible applicant.
- The removal and replacement of text from Part I.C. on page 2533.
- The addition of text in the Attachment: H-1B Industry Sectors
and occupations, on page 2542.
- An update to the virtual Prospective Applicant Conference.
5. Action: Program administrators are requested to share this Information Alert with appropriate staff and other agencies.
