Applying For Aid

To apply for federal, state, and Purdue University student aid programs, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) . The FAFSA must be filed annually to be considered for aid each academic year with a March 1 priority filing deadline. The Purdue University, West Lafayette, Federal School Code for the FAFSA is 001825.

For the 2008-09 academic year (Fall 2008, Spring 2009, and Summer 2009): File the 2008-09 FAFSA with 2007 income information. Visit Apply for Financial Aid 2008-09 for more information.

For the 2009-10 academic year (Fall 2009, Spring 2010, and Summer 2010): File the 2009-10 FAFSA (not available until January 1, 2009) with 2008 income information. Visit

Once admitted in mid-December 2008, incoming freshman will also be asked to complete a Purdue Scholarship Application for college/school awarded aid. For now, incoming freshman (and all other students) are encouraged to utilize the Purdue Financial Aid Estimator to get an idea of what financial aid may be available at Purdue in 2009-10.
