Darwin at 200. Evolution Genomics Medicine

NHGRI Celebrates Darwin @ 200

On February 12, 2009, the National Human Genome Research Institute will celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin at events at the NIH's Bethesda campus and at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. Events will observe Darwin's life and accomplishments and the 150th year since publication of his seminal work, On the Origin of Species. Read more

Pilot Program Coordinates Education
in Genomic Medicine

The National Human Genome Research Institute and the University of Virginia recently initiated a pilot program to help physician assistants and nursing educators jointly develop common training materials on genomic medicine. The materials will be freely available on a Web site that helps both professions achieve competence in the emerging field of genomic medicine. Read more
