As a visitor to the National Forest you are asked to follow certain rules designated to protect the forests and the natural environment, to ensure the heath and safety of visitors, and to promote pleasant and rewarding outdoor recreation experiences for all visitors. Forest officers are required to enforce Federal Regulations so please take time to read and understand them. If you have any questions please check our Frequently Asked Questions web page, e-mail us with your question, or contact us by telephone or mail.

Most national forest system lands are open, free of charge for your use and enjoyment. Entrance and user fees may be charged at some areas.

ENTRANCE FEES are required for entering designated federal recreation areas such as National Parks and National Monuments. Entrance fees can be paid each time you visit a forest or grassland, or you can use a special pass, such as the America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Lands Recreation Pass. For more information on recreation passes, visit the Forest Service Recreation Fees and Passes web site.
