ePlanning Encourages Public Participation in the Land Use Planning Process

ePlanning brings the Land Use Planning process into your home or local library. With an Internet-connected computer, you can open and read land use planning documents produced with ePlanning. You can search for issues such as recreation, wildlife, or energy. During the comment periods, you can easily submit your comments online! With ePlanning's comment features, you can tie your comment to particular text right out of the land use planning document. It has never been easier to communicate your recommendations and preferences to land use planners.

ePlanning Features

ePlanning is a tool for writing, reviewing, and publishing Land Use Plans such as RMPs, EISs, and Scoping Reports online. Once a plan is published to a website, the public can read the plan documents, review maps included with the plans, search content, and write comments to the land use planning community. ePlanning then supports the planners in managing and tracking the comments received. These online comments are retained with the Plan as part of the permanent record of the document as required by NARA. For more information, see Using ePlanning.
