Hormones & Health Science Writers Conference Presented by The Endocrine Society

The Endocrine Society will assemble a panel of leading physicians and researchers for a one-day seminar entitled “Myths and Misperceptions,” challenging many basic understandings and assumptions associated with several high-profile medical conditions and treatments.  An in-depth examination of the intricate connection between hormones and health will be provided around the following topics:

  • Endocrine Disruptors: Are plastics killing us?  What risks are reasonable?
  • Vitamin D: Is this the new miracle hormone?
  • Weight Loss Surgery: Does it really cure diabetes?  Does it have any long-term risks?
  • Hormone Replacement Therapy: Patches, pills, sprays and gels: Do they work?  Are they safe?
  • Pediatric Obesity: Fat for life?
