BLM and Volunteers Join for Clean Up of Martin Canyon Gun Range:  Last weekend, nearly 20 volunteers joined the Shoshone Field Office staff as they worked together to pick up old targets, spent shell casings and other trash at the Martin Canyon Gun Range.  All of the volunteers were recreational shooters from the Wood River Valley, representing the Wood River Pistol Club, Sun Valley Bronze, the local chapter of Deer Hunters of Idaho and Woodside Motorsports.

Shoshone Elementary Students and the BLM "Take It Outside!":  Shoshone FO staff and nearly 50 Shoshone Elementary School first graders took part in a Take It Outside event, organized by Shoshone FO Archaeologist Lisa Cresswell. Take It Outside grants support activities that get kids to spend more time outdoors.  In May 2009, Cresswell and Shoshone FO Recreation Planner Dave Freiberg will host field trips for the students to explore some of the different caves in the area.
